First National Warragul - Street for Sale Fundraiser

-

First National Real Estate Warragul took over Sutton Street in Warragul on Thursday 9th August. Their agents were out in force as “For

Sale” signs were placed on properties along Sutton Street for 24 hours. For every property that displayed the sign, First National Warragul donated $20 to the West Gippsland Hospital. The residents were also invited to participate and could donate to this worthy cause.

The idea behind the fundraiser came from First National Warragul Director Carmen Christie and it had proved a success in the past. The objective was to provide much needed funds to the West Gippsland Hospital Palliative Care unit; a highly used service, which each and every one of us may have already accessed or may need at some stage in our families’ and friends’ lives. “These nurses and staff are beyond amazing and make the hurdles families experience in difficult times easier to bear. Their expertise and unconditional care are second to none. At First National Warragul the community and supporting it are top of our agenda and we are grateful we can help out in a small way.” said Carmen.

“It certainly attracted a lot of attention within the community and I am sure there were many people wondering if the residents of Sutton Street had some strange reason to sell their properties in a hurry.”
