Superb matches in badminton

There were some super matches played out in Mid Gippsland junior badminton’s C grade competition.

One of which was fought out between Warragul Blue and Drouin Gold.

Two out of three in the doubles round went to Warragul Blue with the last game being won by the brothers in Drouin Gold (Jacob and William Fankouser) against Warragul Blue (Nathaniel Jackson and Ashley Griggs).

In the singles Drouin Gold came back, winning two of the three games, the other one being won by Aaron Remyn against Isabelle Fankouser (Drouin Gold) to wrap up the match for Warragul Blue.

The overall night went to Warragul Blue with 175 points to 161 points for Drouin Gold in an incredibly close match.

Match of the week went to Ryan Young from Warragul Red and Josh Bloye from Warragul White in a great singles game going to three sets, with Josh winning the first set 23-21.
