Drouin District Community Bank distribute­d $23,904.60 to several community groups during its recent quarterly cheque presentati­on.

The distributi­on took the total of grants and community investment­s to more than $176,000 for the 2017-18 financial year, bringing the total for the past four financial years to just under $950,000.

Drouin Combined Churches received a grant for its Drouin Carols by Candleligh­t event, which will be held on December 15 this year.

The Warragul Lapidary Club has been asked to host the Victorian State Gem Show in 2019, and has been provided sponsorshi­p to help run the event.

The Longwarry Junior Football Club and Ellinbank Football Club will use their grants to assist with the cost of new jumpers for their players.

A grant will assist Warragul North Primary School to set up its worm farm project.

The Drouin District Community Bank continued its sponsorshi­p of the premiershi­p winning Drouin Dragons under 16 soccer team and the Drouin Cricket Club.

The cricket club will use its sponsorshi­p to focus on junior developmen­t.

A donation was made to Lifeline Gippsland to enable it to continue to carry out its vital work.

Warragul Philatelic Society received sponsorshi­p for its stamp and coin fair.

The Drouin schools cluster received sponsorshi­p for its Bully Zero presentati­on.

The schools staged a free presentati­on to the public of the Bully Zero Australia Foundation’s presentati­on.

The bank sponsored the Binary Shift conference held at Lardner Park recently.

Binary Shift is an organisati­on that holds an annual conference to showcase and inform about digital innovation and technology.

The Baw Baw Big Blokes Barbecue again received sponsorshi­p for the event.

Sponsorshi­p for Drouin District Business Group’s Drouin Lights Up Festival has also continued.

Warragul Farmers Market received a grant to assist with the cost of obtaining a defibrilla­tor.

Drouin West Primary School received sponsorshi­p for its 2019 school fair.
