Plenty of assistance on hand

-

The Lions Club of Drouin and Drouin Secondary College Leo Club will ensure plenty of assistance is on hand to attendees of the Garden and Home Expo.

If you find you have too many plants to carry, you can get them delivered to your car by the Drouin Secondary College Leo Club to make life a little easier. For a gold coin donation, they will look after your plants and other shopping, while you keep enjoying the Expo and then deliver them to your car for you. They are located outside Baw Baw pavilion near the catering area.

It promises to be a great day out for the whole family with musical entertainment and many activities for children, including free potting of a plants, face painting and magicians.

There is an extensive range of catering and refreshments available at very reasonable prices, so you will have a fun filled, inexpensive day. There is also an extensive range of catering at the Garden and Home Expo by other Lions Clubs and Community Groups who also raise funds that can go back to community needs.

Entry costs to the Expo are cash only on entry, adults $10 each and children under 16 free.

EFTPOS will be available from the Drouin Lions Club site in the Baw Baw Pavilion over the weekend. Funds raised by Drouin Lions Club over the weekend go back to the community, with this year seeing the West Gippsland Hospital nursery getting some new equipment. You can also purchase tickets in the huge Garden and Home Expo trailer raffle from this site.

It`s not too early to think about Christmas. There will be Lions Christmas Cakes available for you to purchase.

If you just want to know where a site is, or have any query at all, Drouin Lions members will be able to help you. You will see people wearing yellow Lions vests at the Lions site, or many other places in Lardner Park just wanting to answer any question you may have.

It may be to point you in the direction of the first aid station, which will also be onsite during the weekend.

If you`ve been thinking about joining Drouin Lions, here is your chance to just stop and have a talk to one of our members. Any of the members can talk to you about joining Drouin Lions over the weekend or you can contact membership chairman Lion Theo on 0407 343 410 or 5625 4589.
