Warragul Bowling Club had a much better day in round four of WGBD pennant on Saturday, with three teams winning.

Division two: Warragul (1) defeated Warragul (2) 96/83.

John Vickerman, David Alderman, Necip Akarsu and Graeme Davis defeated Brian Kennedy, Matt Draisma, Bob Currie and David Smith 27/15. Keith Wilkins, Des Stephens, Peter Gallasch and Clive Padgham lost to Kerrie Currie, Alan McDonnell, Ian Belling and Jim Moyle 15/25. Matt Smith, Jim Power, Janette Gallasch and Ken Scammell lost to John Bell, Gabrielle Draisma, Roy Hammond and Peter Wood 26/29. Ken Landman, Pat Hammond, Paul Simmons and Bill Clappers defeated Lester Mason, Ken Brown, Shirley Melsen and David Gatewood 28/14.

Division three: Warragul (3) Trafalgar (2) 122/82.

Stella Gedye, May Baldwin, Bill Clark and Russell Bruce defeated P. Dart’s team 28/18. Ken May, Brian Barby, Vin Roche and Fred defeated Pitcher defeated D. Horner’s team 28/23. Gary Thomas, Ron Collins, Graham Cobban and Chris Wilkins defeated P. Watson’s team 29/22. Ted Holland, Patrick McGowan, Nug Davies and Ray Headspeath defeated W. Hurst’s team 37/19.

Division five: Warragul (4) defeated Morwell Club (3) 80/58.

Michael Royce, Trevor Crofts, Dawn Thomas and David Piggin lost to H. Wright’s team 16/22. Glad Atkinson, Marj Evison, Barry Downer and Mike Cousens defeated G. Unwin’s team 22/15. Freda Lay, Bill Dye, Marg Keeffe and Alan Potter defeated A. Shepley’s team 31/22.

Division six: Warragul (5) forfeited to Drouin (4).

In round five of WGBD pennant next Saturday, Warragul one is away to Traralgon three, Warragul two is home to Longwarry, Warragul three is away to Moe two, Warragul four is home to Morwell three and Warragul five is home to Trafalgar three.
