Baw Baw wins squash challenge
Thursday night saw the bi-annual challenge between Baw Baw Squash Club and Poowong Squash Club.
The night was well attended with many matches attracting a gallery two or three deep.
Whilst the results appeared quite one-sided, most games were evenly contested.
The highlight of the night was the clash between top players Allan Schack for Baw Baw and Marc Cecil. Although Allan won in four games the fourth could easily have gone to Marc in a tie-break. It was an enthralling spectacle that was warmly appreciated by all spectators.
In the end Baw Baw had a convincing win 14 matches to one to regain the C432 trophy, but Poowong left vowing to turn the tables when next the clubs meet on their home turf.
