Batting for a second time the home side were in real trouble early, slumping to 3/11 before a steadying partnership from Stuart Davis (19) and Pete Felstead (16) finally got the scoreboard ticking over.

This was short lived however as the change bowlers tore through the Eagles middle order in scenes reminiscent of the first day’s play.

Liam Finnegan held firm for the home side, finishing the day at 33 not out.

Peter Shea was the pick of the bowlers with an accurate spell that saw him claim 3/5 off eight overs, which included five maidens. Buzasi chimed in with 2/18 off 12 while Mick Gnaden picked up two early wickets.
