Swamp Tigers triumph

Resuming at 3/51 the Crows struggled early with the addition of Sam Accardi to the bowling line-up paying dividends.

Liam Quarrell fought back hard with a defiant 58 but it was not quite enough to get the hosts across the line, as the lower order wilted under the constant pressure from the bowlers.
A marathon effort from Jarryd Bain and Accardi (both bowling unchanged) reaped the rewards for the visitor with Bain finishing with 6/70 off 35 overs and Accardi snaring 4/69 off 27.
Hawks strike
Drouin 9/219 defeated Warragul 10/192 Warragul have fallen short in their pursuit of Drouin’s target with a collapse of 6/25 costing the Gulls the match.
A solid start saw the visitor travelling well with Austin Williamson (36) and Cam Smith (38) both looking good before the introduction of Adin Short to the attack swung the momentum back in the Hawks’ favour.
Short ripped through the visitor tail to finish with 4/12 off seven overs as the home side cruised to a comfortable win.
Jacob Sandman did the early work with the new ball, snaring 2/34 off 12 overs.
