Drouin bowlers have a brilliant day with divisions three and six winning big away from home. Division one: Drouin 2/71 lost to Trafalgar 18/110. David McIlfatric­k, Dale Hendrick, Glen Lockett and Adam Proctor defeated Scott Jones’ team 20/19. Ron Brodie, Andy Kidd, John Leighton and Gary Johnson lost to Tom Lodge’s team 10/36. Samantha Atkinson, Les Firth, Dennis Throup and Matthew Schreyer lost to James McCausland’s team 20/28. Steve Barr, Sheryl Atkinson, Toby Wallace and Mark Atkinson lost to Steve Lodge’s team 21/27.

Division three: Drouin (2) 18/122 defeated Traralgon RSL (2) 2/75.

Janice Aubrey, Ian McCartney, Tim Anderson and Noel Rubenstein defeated D. Cheney’s team 27/18. Laurie Innes, Graeme Aubrey, Maureen Leighton and Arthur Moore defeated R. Osler’s team 36/15. Mathew Willis, Matthew Eccles, Col Jeffrey and Col Finger lost to J. Farquaz’s team 25/28. Don Mowat, Chris Brownlee, Phil Jarred and David Tayles defeated G. Ashbury’s team 34/14.

Division four: Drouin (3) 2/75 lost to Thorpdale 18/106.

John Bulmer, Mary Firth, Pauline Appleyard and Neil Stoney lost to D. Gunn’s team 20/22. Margaret Rhodes, Margaret Schofield, Lloyd Smith and Barrie Price lost to B. Jennings’ team 16/39. Mal Anderson, Richard Joiner, Terry McFadzean and Brian Thorpe defeated R. Kennedy 24/19. Elaine Thorpe, Merv Appleyard, Ray Watson and Neil Bullen lost to D. Vanzulen’s team 15/26.

Division six: Drouin (4) 8/53 defeated Thorpdale (2) 2/42.

Maureen McMillan, Clive Newman, Ian Haughton and Les Gouge defeated G. Savige’s team 36/13 to be “best overall rink” with 23 shots up. Max Hine, Gary Watts, John Kinrade and Tom Lawler lost to J. Gunn’s team 17/29.

Drouin will now look ahead to Saturday’s game. Division one is away to Morwell Club, division three is home to Warragul, division four is home to Yarragon, and division six is away at Trafalgar.
