The 'Managing your Dairy Business Risk in a Changing Climate Workshop' will help dairy farmers, share farmers, andemploye­es develop clear plans to better manage key risks to their dairy business.

The aim of the workshop is to assist dairy farmers to better understand the drivers and impact of climate variabilit­y in their district, be able to identify and better manage key risks to their business, as well as have plans and more confidence for the future.

Go along and identify practical strategies to make your dairy farm business more robust and resilient.

This workshop is an opportunit­y to network with likeminded people who are facing similar risks to their business and to hear from inspiring and informativ­e speakers and experts.

Come away from the workshop with:

A clear picture of the influencer­s of climate variabilit­y in your district

An assessment of key risks to your own business ? plans to better manage key risks to your business

Some new friends to share your experience­s and ideas with more confidence to be able to limit the impact of key risks to your business.

Two sessions a week apart (10.30 am – 2.30 pm) with lunch provided each day.

A bonus two-hour visit on your farm by a dairy extension officer to assist you further develop your risk management plan, plus a six month follow up visit if required.

To get the most out of the workshop, it is important to attend both sessions.

It is also highly encouraged that your bonus farm visit be booked during the workshop.

The workshop will be held March 7 and 14 at DELWP Office, Orbost
