Kerry O’Keefe at Neerim
Kerry O’Keefe will be guest speaker at Neerim District Cricket Club’s sportsman’s night on Saturday.
Kerry’s love of life and passion for sport has seen the former Test cricketer enjoy a successful media career.
He was the ABC Test cricket special comments man for 14 years and is currently a Fox Sports cricket broadcaster well known for his insights and knowledge of the game. He is also a best-selling author and appears regularly on the Foxtel Sports show, The Back Page.
O’Keefe’s career included 24 Tests for Australia with a batting average of 25.86. He never quite lived up to expectations as Australia’s next best leg spinner, collecting 53 wickets at an average of 38.07.
Two one-day internationals netted 16 runs and two wickets.
Kerry’s presentation is littered with great yarns and his quirky observations on cricket and life.
The Neerim District Cricket Club sportsman’s night will be held at Neerim South’s Algie Hall, 213 Main Neerim Rd, Neerim South. Doors open at 6pm with two-course meal from 6.30pm.
Kerry O’Keefe’s presentation will begin at 7.30pm.
