Respect qualifications

-

Last week I had occasion to consult my mechanic, accountant and doctor. With many years of study and practice, each was able to dispense the excellent advice and courses of action I have come to expect and appreciate.

Similarly, in my own areas of expertise, [1] my profession and [2] my sport, of 50 years, I would expect due acknowledgement and respect for my qualifications.

So how do I sum up the views of Roger Marks on climate change? [(Gaz 9/4). Probably in his own words.

The views of the majority of climate scientists are false/dishonest because:

1. It's nothing new because Roger has “researched the last 150 years" to the point of fact, 2. Nothing can be done to limit climate change, 3. Most climate change scientists who disagree with Roger are “on the take", i.e. corrupted by money,

4. All climate change scientists who agree with Roger are not,

5. If Labor wins the next Federal election, we shall all finish up “living on bread and water", and

6. All climate change believers are “plebs" and “childlike".

It is significant to me that most climate change deniers seem to be male, and of the same age demographic as myself and Mr Marks.

The likes of Mr Marks, however, appear to be old men, clinging pathetically to the world in which they grew up, desperately denying the values the modern world introduces for evaluation.

Bricks to Baw Baw Shire for spending money making Smith St, Warragul pretty but ignoring Drouin. Drouin’s main street roundabout gardens are a disgrace. One has just dirt while the other has weeds and lets not go on about the one in the lawn going out of town. There is so much grass you could think it is lawn. Shame on you all towns deserve to look nice not just Warragul.
