Dr Sadia Shinwari has over 10 years’ experience in general practice and has an interest in skin cancer medicine, aesthetic medicine and women’s health. As a practicing GP, Sadia felt that GPs lack the training and expertise to diagnose and treat skin cancer. Knowing the prevalence of skin cancer in the Australian population, she decided to undertake further education in the field.

Sadia moved to Australia from the UK in 2012 after completing her General Practice training in Aberdeen, Scotland in 2004. She acquired her membership with the Royal College of GPs in the UK in 2007 and gained her fellowship with the Australian College of GPs in 2016.

She has a Diploma with the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecologists UK and has also completed a Diploma with the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare and Family Planning from the UK.

Since moving to Australia, Sadia has focused her practice on identifying and treating cancers. She has completed Advanced Certificates of Skin Cancer Medicine and Dermoscopy and is currently furthering her training towards Professional Diplomas of Skin Cancer Medicine and Surgery with Australia’s leading provider of medical professional development.
