Magic, circus and cabaret

-

The magic, dance, song and defying circus acts of “Paris Underground” will return to Warragul with show “Encore” on Saturday at 8pm.

Having last performed in Warragul four years ago, Julia Madotti said “Paris Underground” had changed significantly but still maintained its cabaret style.

“It’s changed a lot since then,” she said. “New performers, nearly all new acts. We started out as a small cabaret show, and we still do that. But it’s more more of a big theatre show.”

Richard Vegas said the big theatres allow circus acts to be incorporated that “you can’t do in a cabaret setting”.

“It still has that cabaret feel to it,” he said, “The most attractive part about the show is it’s dynamic and responsive to the audience. Every performance is different.”

“Paris Underground” will bring its full cast and crew of eight people to stage its West Gippsland Arts Centre show.

The audience will journey into the dark delights of underground Paris in a crazy, sexy and cool night to remember.

It will feature the magic of Madotti and Vegas, dancer and circus artist Hannah Trott, tap dancing king Monsieur Eden Read, risqué repartee of chanteuse Aurora Kurth, new showgirl Mimi Le Noir and gravity defying talent of cirque specialist Tim Rutty.

Tickets are $60 for adults, $55 for concession and groups, and $49 for members.
