Have your say on mental health
Do you want to have your say about mental health in Victoria?
The Royal Commission into Victoria’s mental health system is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to discuss mental health and how we can deliver change so that more people receive care when and where they need it most.
The Commission is being led by Chair Penny Armytage, supported by fellow commissioners Professor Bernadette McSherry, Dr Alex Cockram and Professor Allan Fels AO.
“We’ve been across the State talking to people about what their experience has been, but also about their ideas for change,” Armytage said.
“By the time the consultations finish in Warragul tomorrow, we will have had a conversation with more than 1500 people. These community conversations are invaluable to achieving the work of the Commission.”
Ms Armytage said while the consultations Ms were ending, there was still a chance for people to have their voice heard by making a submission online.
“We encourage you to participate and share your story, experiences or ideas for change through a written submission.”
You can make more than one submission, and all will be valued and considered by the Commission. Submissions close 5 July 2019.
The Commission’s interim report will be delivered in November this year and the final report and recommendations will be made in October 2020.
Submissions can be made at www.rcvmhs.vic. gov.au
