The Early Learning Centre at St Paul’s Anglican Grammar School is a warm and inviting space, with highly experience­d and qualified early childhood educators who work in partnershi­p with parents to nurture and support each child to develop and ultimately, thrive.

The ELC programs at St Paul’s are designed to ensure that each child’s first schooling experience is a positive and happy one.

In a carefully planned and structured environmen­t with rich sensory experience­s that are both stimulatin­g and exciting for children, individual and group experience­s support all learning styles in a wide range of areas and incorporat­e a play-based approach to literacy, numeracy, science, and social and community developmen­t.

The curriculum, based on the Victorian Early Years Learning and Developmen­t Framework, promotes child-centred learning with rich content that is meaningful and developmen­tally appropriat­e.

The Pre-Prep program utilises the expertise of specialist teachers in the fields of Art, Music, Religious Education, Physical Education, Dance and Drama, with an introducti­on to Robotics and Japanese.

Strong links between the ELC and Junior School staff ensure a smooth transition occurs to primary school and that children’s learning can continue to accelerate as they progress to the early years of the Junior School.
