Tried everything but still have back pain?

Corinna Hull, Lisa Conlon and Daniel Pratt at Progressive Rehabilitation Group are on hand to help you get moving again. All are qualified physiotherapists, but Progressive Rehabilitation Group are changing the landscape of traditional physiotherapy. They ensure that evidencebased practice and patient centred care take precedence, and that patients are involved in their journey.

The team at Progressive Rehabilitation Group are experienced in treating the most disabling health disorder in the Western World back pain, which affects 1 in 7 Australians and 2 in 5 of these people have difficulty in performing the tasks and activities associated with mobility and self-care. Common conditions they treat are discogenic lower back pain, spinal stenosis, dysfunctional movement, pelvic girdle pain and lumbopelvic instability. They also assist many adolescent patients with specific growth injuries that can arise from sports such as swimming, gymnastics and athletics. These patients may be placed on a careful loading program to keep them participating in activity while they recover. Progressive Rehabilitation Group can also help with surgery avoidance, preand post-operative rehabilitation, persistent pain such as back pain and migraines, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia Syndrome, sporting injuries and general pain and pain education.

In an approach rarely seen locally, Progressive Rehabilitation Group encourages patients to take ownership of their injuries. They run hydrotherapy sessions, small group rehabilitation sessions, gym sessions and small group pain management classes where patients can learn to change their mindset, learn new skills and use these to dial down their pain. The next intake of Persistent Pain Classes is 19th July, 26th July and 2nd August, 9.30 - 11.30am.

The group rehabilitation sessions are all supervised and tailored to each person. Progressive Rehabilitation Group encourages exercise and active treatment which is shown to be most effective in reducing lower back pain. Getting people moving again is a focus of the group and longer appointments allow more time to be spent on rehabilitation and progression. Progressive Rehabilitation Group are the official trainers to the Gippsland Power AFLW team and all are experienced and qualified professionals.

Their centrally located Warragul rooms include an in-house rehabilitation, exercise and group class room for your convenience.

If you’ve tried everything else, including physio, and don’t want surgery, make an appointment to see one of the specialists at Progressive Rehabilitation Group.
