By popular demand, Jacquey is escorting a threeweek trip to Vietnam and Cambodia, departing in February 2020.

There are still a few places still available on the tour, so for those who have always wanted to visit the region, this is the ideal time.

First you will visit Vietnam to experience that country’s rich heritage and culture, before embarking on a luxury cruise down the mighty Mekong on your way to Siem Reap, your base for exploring the temples of Angkor Wat.

You start your tour of Vietnam in Hanoi, with visits to One Pillar Pagoda, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, West Lake, Tran Quoc Pagoda, the Temple of Literature, and a walk through the old quarter with 36 streets and 36 wares.

From Hanoi you will also enjoy a two-night cruise to Halong Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where you will cruise around this spectacular bay with its 3,000 rocky islands emerging from its emerald green waters.

In Hue you cruise on the Perfume River to Thien Mu Pagoda and tour Dong Ba Market, Tu Duc Mausoleum and the historic Citadel, explore the quaint old streets of Hoi An and visit the many shops and galleries of this quaint town. While in Hoi An, you shall attend a cooking school.

The tour of Ho Chi Minh City will include the Presidential Palace, the War Museum and the Ben Thanh market and from the nearby port of My Tho, you board your luxury cruise ship for an eight-day journey along the Mekong to Siem Reap. Along the way you will witness the bustling daily life of the region, including floating markets and life on the busy canals with their many artisan workshops.

You then cross the border into Cambodia at Chau Doc and visit the capital, of Phnom Penh before arriving in Siem Reap where you visit the world-heritage Angkor Wat and Ta Prohm temples. After a fascinating three weeks it is time to return to Australia.

Escorted group travel is emerging as a preferred choice for people wanting to share their experience with other like-minded travellers.

These tours also allow for plenty of free time to explore on your own.
