Nar Nar Goon claimed victory over Garfield on Saturday. The Stars went down by 29 points, 11.13-79 to 7.8-80. The Goons came out firing, putting five majors three on their side of the scoreboard in the first term. Garfield had managed just one goal and one behind.

That margin stayed roughly the same as the two sides entered the main break. 7.7-49 to 3.1-49 was the scoreline at halftime, with Nar Nar Goon leading. That 30-point margin closed to 20 points by the end of the third term. Garfield kicked another two goals and Nar Nar Goon managed just four behinds.

In the final term, Garfield tried their best to get back in the game, adding two majors and five points to their tally by the end of the match. Nar Nar Goon added four goals two to bring their final tally to 11.13-79. Garfield finished to 7.8-50. Trent Armour was best on ground for Nar Nar Goon. Garfield’s best man was Michael Wallace.

Kilcunda Bass had a tough game against Bunyip on Saturday and ultimately went down to the Bulldogs by 47 points — 13.17-95 to 7.6-48. The Bulldogs began the game with one goal three kicked in the opening term. However Kilcunda Bass had the upper hand at that point with two goals and two behinds.

The Panthers stayed in control in the second quarter too, adding tow goals two to their tally and finishing the hlf 14 points in front of the home side. But the momentum completely changed in the third term.

The Bulldogs exploded, kicking 37 points to flip the game on its head. Kilcunda Bass kicked seven points in that quarter. The final term saw the home side boot another seven majors to bring their final score to 13.17-95 – almost double the visitors’ final score of 7.6-48. Christophe­r Keif was best on ground for Bunyip. Hayden Spierings was Kilcunda Bass’ best man.

Warragul Industrial­s were categorica­lly demolished in their match-up with Phillip Island on Saturday. Dusties went down by 167 points — 29.12-186 to 2.7-19. Dusties managed just one behind in the first term while the Bulldogs were off and racing from the first bounce, putting six goals one on the scoreboard. The margin grew to 74 points at the main break.

Phillip Island had kicked twelve majors and six behinds by that point while the Dusties had only four behinds to their name. It got worse as the game went on. Dusties remained at four behinds until the end of the third term. Phillip Island’s tally reached 136 points before the start of the final term.

Dusties’ finally lifted in the third term but only just – they kicked two goals three to bring their final scoreline to 2.7-19. Phillip Island finished the day on 29.12-186. Shane Brewster was best on ground for the Dusties. Jaymie Youle was Phillip Island’s best man.

The day belonged to Daylston when the Magpies took on Korumburra-Bena on Saturday. The Giants went down by 22 points, finishing the day 7.5-47 to 3.7-25. Korumburra started the day slowly with one goal one on the scoreboard. Daylston had kicked two majors in that time.

By halftime, the margin had slimmed to three points. By three-quarter time, Daylston had found the lead.

Their tally read 4.3-27. The Giants sat on 2.7-19 as the two sides entered the main break. Daylston extended their lead in the final term, finishing the day on 7.5-47. Korumburra-Bena missed out on victory by 22 points. Ryan Silver was best on ground for the victors. Emmanueal Jackwot was Korumburra-Bena’s best man.

Inverloch Kongwak more than accounted for Cora Lynn on Saturday, winning by 43 points, 198-122 to 12-7-79. The Cobras came storming out of the blocks in the first term, kicking six goals three to the Sea Eagles’ two majors.

But the momentum began to shift in the second term. Cora Lynn kicked another goal but Inverloch Kongwak had other ideas and had added another six goals to their tally by halftime. The Sea Eagles led their visitors by eight points at the main break.

But the Cobras fought back and came within five points of their hosts by the end of the third term, after kicking four more majors. But the scoring mostly stopped for Cora Lynn in the final term. They added another goal and one more behind to their tally but nothing more.

The Cobras ended the day 12.7-79. The Sea Eagles meanwhile booted another seven goals three, finishing on 19.8-122 and claiming victory by 43 points. Brenden Iezzi was best on ground for the Sea Eagles. Nathan Langley was Cora Lynn’s best man.
