Since the annual meeting in November last year the branch has welcomed seven new members into the Drouin Branch of the Country Womens' Association.

The first half of this year has been a busy one with arrangements for the 80th Birthday Celebration (originally scheduled for March but which had to be rescheduled for April due to the Bunyip Complex Fires at the time) the annual catering for the Baw Baw Shire Council Australia Day Breakfast (at which the Rotary Club of Drouin presented our branch with a lovely engraved cake serving set in recognition of the 40 years of catering for this event), attendance by a number of of our members at the Associated Country Women of the World Triennial Conference in Melbourne in April as well as the Victorian State Conference in Williamstown in May and CWA Sunday which this year saw members visiting St. Ita's Church in Drouin.

A few of the members visited the upcoming State Creative Crafts Exhibition in Kyabram on August 2 and 3 where they viewed entries from some of branch members as well as all the other craft on display.

On July 29, we held our annual association day luncheon and “Beetle Game” which raises funds for the association and was attended by CWA branches in the region as well as local women's groups.

August 24 will see some people attend the Latrobe Central Group Half Yearly Conference which this year will be hosted by Flynn-Nites Branch at the Flynn Hall.
