Warragul & Drouin Gazette

Disappointed

-

My wife Soray Rahimi, who lives in Drouin, recently had a disappointing experience.

She went to Monash Hospital in Moorabbin for a visit. After her visit, the doctors recommended her to have some blood tests.

She was told that she must go to Berwick Hospital for these tests.

My wife explained she had travelled by public transport and it was difficult to go Berwick.

She asked why these tests could not be done in a big hospital like Monash.

The nurse or whoever answered said, no sorry. My wife left the hospital of course not happy.

But as she walked towards the bus stop, she saw a big building in front of her with a sign "radiology” on it. She walks in and they did her blood test.

My concern is why and how the hospital staff didn't know there was a radiology and blood test facilities in the same compound?

Bricks to sporting clubs that want to operate pokies machines. Whatever happened to fundraising events, lolly drives, fetes, raffles, trivia nights, auctions, car boot sales and sausage sizzles.

I recently returned to Warragul after three years away. Compliments to the council on the new roundabouts which make driving so much easier. They seem to have calmed down drivers too. I notice most of them are more courteous to pedestrians than they used to be. And I like the pedestrian friendly streetscape in Smith Street.

Thank you to all the kind people that helped me when I had a recent fall on an uneven footpath in Drouin. A big thank you to the police officers who stayed with me whilst waiting for the ambulance.

Bouquets and a huge thank you to the person who found and handed in my gold chain with diamond pendant at Drouin Woolworths last week. This item of jewellery holds enormous sentimental value and words cannot express my gratitude. Your honesty is very much appreciated.
