Ceberano offers rare treat

-

Warragul is in for a rare treat when Kate Ceberano performs at the West Gippsland Arts Centre on Friday, November 15 at 7.30pm.

After a hectic few months winning an ARIA award, performing on “The Masked Singer” and performing at the MotoGP, Kate is looking forward to settling back into her own music.

Speaking to the Gazette, Kate believes it has been more than 20 years and likely closer to 30 years since she has performed solo in Warragul. She performed during her early days travelling and touring as well as part of an APIA Good Times tour alongside other Australian artists.

However, with a couple of girlfriends living in the region urging her to perform, Kate is ready for her long-awaited Warragul return.

Performing a bootleg session under the banner of “Ceberano and Co”, Kate will perform covers of her own songs, covers of some of her favourite Australian artists and sneak in a couple of new songs.

She says 70 per cent of the show will be her own music.

Having traversed many different styles and being influenced by many different artists, Kate created a song list for this show with assistance from the public.

“Live performance is something I truly love to do,” said Kate.

An experienced artist born in the clubs and pubs across Australia, Kate offers a nostalgic look back with a little bit on offer for everyone.

“I hope they all come and make it out,” said Kate. “We’re a really good old-school sort of jam.”

Fuelling ahead of her 30th anniversary tour scheduled for 2021, Kate is working on a new album and recently released single “My Restless Heart”.

Tickets are $74.30 for A reserve and $53.90 for B reserve.
