The community spirit is strong at Tarago Gardens

-

“The main difference we have experienced over the last few months of life at Tarago Gardens, is that the community spirit has become quite strong,” says Helen Farrelly.

Self-employed in the fashion industry, Helen and Michael Farrelly own their own land and home at exclusive over 55s community Tarago Gardens in Neerim South.

Their two bedroom, two bathroom house, designed and built by local custom builder Kingbuilt, includes a home office and separate studio for each of them to be able to run their businesses from home.

Helen explains how living in this community is impacting their lives.

“This is the first time in our lives where we really feel connected to our community, the people who live around us.

“We go to our neighbours for a drink, or to watch a game of football together, we have dinner at the pub and really enjoy each other’s company. The community spirit that has developed here is just wonderful.”

With two new Kingbuilt homes scheduled to be handed over in the near future and another three homes currently on hold with buyers, this close-knit community is set to become even more vibrant.

“We held an open house event in conjunction with the developer and Kingbuilt,” says Helen.

“We were delighted to meet the couple who were about to move into their new home at that event and it was lovely to welcome them to the neighbourhood.”

“I just don’t think people who are ready to downsize are aware of this as an option.

“You can sell your existing home and buy a new one for less, here at Tarago Gardens. It’s like heaven on earth.

“With property prices in the region going up, particularly in Warragul and Drouin, we are just thrilled to have discovered this part of Gippsland,” says Ms Farrelly.

“We want others to be aware of this opportunity too.”

Very limited allotments remain at Tarago Gardens.
