You’re never too old...

West Gippsland Community Radio (3BBRFM) is the community radio station for the local Baw Baw region, providing its listeners with a wide variety of music, along with local news and information.

3BBR-FM is also a great place for learning and gaining experience in radio production skills within a supportive environment. It is a perfect avenue of radio learning and hands-on enjoyment for retirees and non-retirees alike. There are also opportunities for senior students who are seeking a look-in towards a future vocation.

In 2019, 3BBR-FM has over 50 trained radio personnel, presenting a variety of programs, from the classics to rock ‘n’ roll, with a touch of jazz and gospel and other formats along the way. Our prime-time music concentration between 7am and 6pm is that of the 60s, 70s and 80s.

Recent surveys indicate that 3BBR-FM is estimated to have a weekly audience of nearly 8000 in a typical week in the Baw Baw and surrounding areas.

Of course, 3BBR-FM can now be heard anywhere in the world where you have internet access. Quite a number of its listeners are from around Australia and also internationally tuned in. 3BBR-FM always welcomes new members and sponsors.

Member of over 20 years, David Piggin, says his membership of 103.1 3BBR-FM has been one of the most rewarding volunteer organisations he has belonged. “Tuning in to 3BBR-FM means tuning out the haste and turmoil we face these days.”

West Gippsland Community Radio will hold its AGM at the Presbyterian Church hall, Drouin, Wednesday, November 20th. A fund raising sausage sizzle will be held on Saturday November 30th outside Woolworths in Drouin. Come along and buy a snag or two!
