Singles championships

The final of the men’s and women’s singles championships were played alongside each other on Sunday.

Back on rink three, David got one on the sixth and two on the 10th, but Graeme got 13 shots on the other six of the next eight ends to take a commanding 22/6 lead.

David fought back well and scored nine shots to one over the next seven ends to get to 15/23. The pair traded blows over the next three ends before Graeme closed it out at 26/16.

Elsie also staged a good comeback, scoring seven of the next eight shots to get to 11/17. But Janette piled on seven shots over the next three ends to get to 24/11.
