Bricks and Bouquets

-

The Saint Vincent de Paul Society Warragul would like to express its gratitude to the local branch of the Bendigo Bank for its part in the collecting donated gifts from the public.

The presents are destined for a good home and the generosity of the bank and the communing is genuinely appreciated.

A big bouquet to the lovely couple who helped me out while they were walking past Umart in Warragul. My phone had gone completely flat and I needed to call my husband to pick me up. They called my husband

For me, otherwise I don’t know what I would have done. Thank you so much.

A bouquet to Jed from The Stihl Shop in Drouin. Late in the day on hearing that my favourite piece of garden equipment was malfunctioning he stayed and waited for me to drop it off. When I arrived he was quick to spot the problem and fixed it immediately. Another example of excellent local service.

Bricks to Baw Baw Shire for not emptying the rubbish bins before the Drouin Rotary market on Saturday.

Bricks to the farmers who don’t make an effort to mow their nature strips. Most farmers have a mower or slasher.

Paddocks have been done for silage and hay but nearly metre high grass is still on some nature strips. Bushfires also travel along roadsides.

Bricks to the women who allowed their dogs to run free and jump up at me on the twin towns trail.

Bouquets to the same ladies who did the right thing when I reminded them of the clear signs requiring dogs to be on leashes.

Bricks and bouquets is your chance to have your say.
