Chronic pain can lead to a chronic stress reaction that causes an increase in blood pressure and heart rate.

This stress reaction can lead to harmful health effects, such as a reduced ability to fight off illnesses and diseases. It also can increase the risk for conditions such as heart disease.

Chronic pain affects every aspect of your life, including your mental health.

Your mental state can exacerbate your physical pain, making it even more difficult to manage.

In a 2006 study, 77% of people who suffered from chronic pain reported feeling depressed.

Here at Warragul Wellness Centre, we have a number of allied health and complementary services that can assist you with your pain and the effects it has on you physically and mentally.

For structural assistance we have our Chiropractors, Dr Melissa Harrex and Dr Lucy Keith working alongside our Osteopath Dr Michael Doyne.

Dr Kylee Junghans is our Acupuncturist and doctor of Chinese Medicine.

Other services that may be helpful are Emmett Therapy with Leanne Connally or Bowen Therapy with Robyn McCraw.

We also have Michael

Beecham and Sheree Breaden available for counselling to help support your mental health while working through your pain.

To complement all of our fantastic practitioners we have an Infrared Sauna that can help assist with relief of pain.

If you are interested in learning more about each of the modalities, please visit our website or give us a call on 5636 4902.
