Tumino knock leads Jindi over Neerim

- By Joel Batson Division three:

Neerim's recent slide continued, as rivals Jindivick ensured they kept off the bottom of the ladder with a win.

Bowling first, James Maguire (3-13) and Jack Braddick (2-17) did the job with the new ball, while Mick Tumino (2-13) stymied the likes of John Fleming (31) to reduce Neerim to 107 all out.

In reply, Tumino (53) finished the job for the away side, as he and James Keogh (29) reeled in the score in a canter, winning by six wickets.

Western Park is within touching distance of the top four, with a solid victory over Yarragon.

Bowling first, the Warriors turned the screws on the Panthers, as the away side were unable to escape the likes of Stephen Briggs (3-10), Michael Rabl (2-13) and Kurtis Harper (2-36). Only Andy Trewern (35) could muster a score of substance.

Chasing 135, Western Park fell to 3-20. However, Briggs (55) and Rabl (52*) proved why they were the two best on the day, guiding Western Park home safely.

A stunning knock from Jack Jarred (65) saw Drouin tick off a win at Maryknoll on the weekend.

Batting first, Drouin needed Jarred and Kye Osseweyer (33) to help push the Hawks to 8181, as the Titans were left a significant task to deal with.

In reply, Garfield-Tynong were never in the hunt, as the in-form Adin Short (4-29) and Dylan Serong (2-23) routed the Titans, only a rally helping them to 136 all out, as Drouin climbed into the top two.

As predicted, top placed Catani demolished bottom placed Buln Buln at home on the weekend.

Batting first, Ben Coleman (75*) and Cecil Haysom (67) added 117 in a massive opening stand that set up the game, with the Blues making an unassailable 4-223 off their 40 overs.

In reply, only club legend Jeff Walsh (44) added any sort of resistance, as George Zekic (4-21) and Mitchell Gregson (2-17) put a stranglehold on the Lyrebird's batting-order, the bottom-side batting out their overs to finish 8-96.

Warragul took the points in an even contest with Longwarry.

Choosing to bat first, the Gulls survived an early scare as Daniel Best and Adrian Barake laid the foundation for a competitive total. The pair added 44 for the third wicket before Best fell for 59. Barake anchored the innings
