Jordon awarded for volunteering

-

Trafalgar High School awarded its annual community award to 2020 year 11 student Jordon Garratt.

Jordon was recognised for his wider community volunteering, especially in the sporting communities in his home town of Willow Grove.

He also was recognised for his contributions to student events at school in 2019.

Dorothy Hoare, who is a community representative on the school council presented Jordon with his certificate and the perpetual shield which his name will be added to.

Ms Hoare’s name has been long applied to the award after her massive contribution to the community of Trafalgar, founding the Lioness Club of Traf in 1980 before going on to serve as president and secretary in the club.

Now, each year, the Trafalgar High School’s community award is presented in her name.
