It was a wonderful result for Drouin Bowls Club this week, the second last match of home and away games for the season saw Drouin have four wins across all four divisions.
Division 1 played away to Morwell and won convincingly 38/88, 0/16. Jan Aubrey’s team of Pauline Appleyard, Brian Thorpe and Graeme Aubrey won 13/31.
Sheryl Atkinson’s team of Elaine Thorpe, Les Firth and Andrew Blaby won 17/25, while Maureen Leighton’s team of D. Hamilton, Graeme Woolstencroft and Bob Cole won 8/32.
Division 3 played at home to Traralgon R.S.L. and had a convincing win also 100/57, 15/1. Margaret Schofield’s team of Lyn Jeffrey, Dini Hone and Laurie Innes drew 23/23, with Margaret Rhodes team of Gwen Price, David Tayles and Trish Cole winning 44/12 to be this week’s Best Rink Winners with a wonderful 32 shot sup. Jenny Woolard’s team of Mary Andrews, Gerry Wakefield and Lyn Rippon also won 33/22.
Division 4:3 played at home to Morwell and had a good win 38/33, 10/0. Maria Wans team of Maureen McMillan, Ian Haughton and Lorraine Fox won 21/18 with Margaret Owens team of Irene Dawson, Andrew De Waele and Ruth Waring winning 17/15 as well.
Division 4:4 Played at home to Yinnar and won very well 51/24, 9/1. Shirley Woodville’s team of Joan Lang, Barbara Watts and Maureen Brunet drew 21/21 while Kath Dixon’s team of Pat Yeo, Jan Johnson and Lorraine Kinrade won 30/3.
