Neerim Skins Tournament

Neerim District Bowling Club staged its second skins tournament on Sunday.

It was again a great success despite the difficult windy conditions.

The skins contest was for two bowl triples, where teams play two ends before moving to a different rink and a different opponent. Each team played 14 two-end games.

Prize money was awarded to the winners and runners-up but also to each team for every game they won over the course of the day.

Overall winners were the team of Rob Cook, with 11 wins and two draws. Dennis Throup’s team were runners-up with 10 wins and three draws.

Drouin’s last team standing has been knocked out of the WGBD Saturday pennant finals.

Drouin’s division four team failed to win its semi-final against Garfield at Warragul.

The club thanked the many bowlers from Drouin who came to support the team.
