The weeks best was an easy find, with Matt Skinner scoring a one over par 70 which equated to a stableford score of 40 points, playing off his mark of just five, to easily defeat a field of 103 for Saturday’s competition.
Second in the A Grade event was Rick Falcone with a nice round of 37 points. Andy Patton matched Skinners round of 40 points to win the B Grade event playing off his handicap of 19 well in advance of Rick Edwards whom finished second with a round of 34 points.
Tom Fowler won the C Grade event with a round of 35 points playing from a handicap of 22 just the one point in advance of Chase Hobson who is having a good run at the moment.
Clinton Smith gets a mention with his third place C Grade score as he also won Thursdays stableford comp with a round of 34 points to defeat a field of just 15 players who ventured out for a game in miserable showery conditions.
Saturday’s ball run down went right back to a score of 32 points. The ladies kicked back into gear on Tuesday with a game of single par with Olga Pearson being victorious with a score of minus four.
Back to Thursday’s results where Smith’s winning count back round of 34 points was also matched by Kevan McMillan and the consistent Ray James who is having a nice run of form since the return of golf.
A final score of 33 points was required to get a ball down the line. Due to the current wet weather, golf cart usage is a day to day proposition so please check with the club prior to your round if you intend to use a cart. Next Saturday is a game of single stableford.
