-

Well known local residents Margaret and Graeme Harlow have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.

Margaret and Graeme were married at St Paul’s Anglican Church in Warragul on June 11, 1960.

The couple made their home at Tetoora Rd where they ran a dairy farm and raised five children. They are now retired and living in Drouin. They are the proud grandparents of 12 and great grandparents of six.

Margaret and Graeme loved travelling in their early days of retirement, both overseas and travelling around Australia in a caravan.

They are proud of their garden and love showing it off to everyone. Graeme does the vegetable patch and Margaret organises the rest, carefully instructing Graeme what needs to go where. She loves her succulent collection, which is added to regularly.

They both enjoy supporting their grandchildren, attending many sporting events all over the state and even interstate over the years.

Margaret was always a regular helper in the Little Athletics’ canteen when she had grandchildren participating.

They love going to the football and following their grandson who plays for Phillip Island Bulldogs.

Margaret and Graeme are active members of both the Drouin and Neerim South Senior Citizen groups. They enjoy many activities and trips with both clubs.

This year has been difficult with all their normal activities cancelled and both are looking forward to being able to socialise with their family and friends in the future.

They were very happy when they received acknowledgements from the Queen, Prime Minister, Governor General and numerous political identities congratulating them on their anniversary milestone.

A party to celebrate th occasion will be arranged when restrictions are lifted.
