The Tarago Region “fire calls only” number is 81337; the Neerim District Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital number is 81226; doctors at Neerim South may be contacted by dialling 81401; and the police number is 81303.

The exchange in Neerim South was previously operated by Mr and Mrs P. M. Archibald, who are now in charge of the Neerim South Post Office on a full-time basis.

The changeover of the service will add 200 more subscriber­s to the Warragul telephone exchange which now serves 440 subscriber­s.
