Comment on police service

-

Residents are being urged to have their say on police services in the Baw Baw police services area.

A statewide survey is currently underway to give community members an opportunity to comment on safety concerns, safety improvement ideas, and trust and confidence in local police.

The survey is designed to give residents a greater voice in Victoria Police’s ongoing efforts in creating a safer Victoria.

Baw Baw psa inspector Alison Crombie encouraged local residents to participate.

She said it was a short, easy survey but was a great way for people to give feedback about local services and how safe they felt.

“It’s important for us to get that feedback,” she said.

CommConnect aims to strengthen the relationships between local police and the community.

Officers will be assigned to engage with key stakeholders in specific sectors of each police services area, directly focusing resources to build stronger and more collaborative relationships.

Each survey responds specifically to each police services area.

The survey asks community members to comment on safety concerns; how safe they feel within their community; and, police services they believe would add value to the community.

The survey can be completed online at: https://engage.vic.gov.au/victoria-…/victoria-police-bawbaw

Surveys close on August 31.
