Looking for work during and post COVID-19

-

Since the start of COVID-19 more people are now living with added stress brought on by recent unemployment and economic uncertainty.

Maxima’s role is to support people who are seeking employment – with coaching, preparation and training – to help them find meaningful work. Maxima works with customers who are facing barriers to employment – such as disability, injury or health conditions – including anxiety and depression.

Maxima is now delivering a new specialised/tailored/flexible employment program to help customers with motivation and resilience, including training and development programs to help support customers at different levels of their employment journey.

Maxima Victoria Manager, Andrew West, explains. “Maxima’s consultants are dedicated to find the right employer for the right person. We also have dedicated Employment Support Consultants who provide on the job support/ongoing support for as long that’s needed. We help employers find motivated and effective staff, and support accessing workplace modifications if needed.

We are local, and we are already working with many Gippsland local community organisations/support agencies to assist their clients with finding work. If you are a community organisation and would like to chat, we’d love to help! Covid-19 has seen more people needing to access Centrelink, many for the first time. We are offering our help - with navigating the Centrelink system, and providing any advice and guidance.

We are also proud to say we are working with TAFE Gippsland and to assist graduating students with disability seeking employment.

As a local provider with five offices and many outreaches throughout Gippsland, we’d be delighted to speak with anyone seeking employment – and any employers looking for staff in this region. ”
