Astonished

-

I was even more astonished than Elizabeth Stephens when I read what seems to be her reply to Dr Slaughter’s assertions on the benefits of vaccination.

Is she seriously suggesting that deliberately acquiring a particular disease in order to achieve immunity is beneficial to our immune system? And that the risk of serious harm to health or even death from such acquisitions is thus better than preventing those diseases by vaccination?

As another veterinarian from Dr Slaughter’s generation who has witnessed many of these wonderful and tremendous benefits, I am absolutely flabbergasted by such thinking.

Her demonstrated fragmentary knowledge of immunology is revealed to all therein and reads like serious antivaxxer drivel created from “scientific” internet trash dressed up as fact. To compound this, a complete lack of critical questioning of this pseudoscience has lead Elizabeth to behave just like Typhoid Annie in an unwitting attempt to infect the minds of even more misinformed victims.

Dr Slaughter’s comprehensive explanation of the life saving victories that have been achieved over numerous terrible diseases of both humans and animals doesn’t seem to be able to penetrate the closed doors in the minds of some people, addled as they are by ignorance and bloated by the pseudoscience of imposters. Don’t believe everything that you read on the internet please.
