Renault van for deliveries to needy farmers

-

A Renault long wheel base Master Van has been supplied to Gippsland Farmer Relief Incorporated by the team at Warragul Renault.

Gippsland Farmer Relief Incorporated provides food support and aid to Gippsland farming families suffering financial stress. The organisation is operated by 75 volunteers and no-one is paid for their time or mileage. One hundred percent of its fundraising goes to farmers in need.

The new van will be used by the organisation to deliver its hampers of basic foods and household necessities to the Gippsland farming families it supports from Drouin in the west to Orbost in the east and to Omeo in the north.

The new van was funded through a grant from Feed Appeal – which has a mission for no Australians to go hungry. The $50,000 grant will also assist the organisation with the purchase of pallet lifting equipment and racking.

Gippsland Farmer Relief Incorporated accepts monetary donations through Paypal on its website at www.gippslandfarmerrelief.com.au and donations of non-perishable food items may be delivered any Thursday between 10.00am and 2.00pm to the distribution centre at Unit 1, 20-22 Stratton Drive, Traralgon East.

Any Gippsland farming family needing assistance may contact Gippsland Farmer Relief Incorporated by telephone on 5174 0217 – if unattended leave a message and telephone number; or email the team at admin@gippslandfarmerrelief.com.au
