Yarragon too strong
Yarragon 5/198 (cc) defeat Longwarry 43 Yarragon took to the field for the first time this season after winning on forfeit and having a bye in the opening two rounds.
Sent in by the visitors, Yarragon made a healthy start with Carlo Ierfone and Chameera Vithnage putting on 51 in their opening stand. Ierfone and Steve Green kept the scoreboard ticking until Erin Maxwell ( 2/35) got one through the gate of Ierfone who had just brought up his half-century.
Green safely made it to the retirement mark finishing with 52 rt.n.o. while Benjamin Allsop played a mature innings before falling for a well-crafted 42. In reply, (and batting a couple short) only skipper Maxwell (15) could muster a double-digit score as the Panthers took the opportunity to share the ball around.
The only multiple wicket taker was Gary Lindsay who finished with the astonishing figures of three overs, two maidens, 2/1.

Western Park ran out big winners over Jindivick after their very own bash brothers pushed the required run rate out to six per over.
Jackson Payroli proved his first innings in the royal blue was no fluke, recording a second half-century to retire not out on 67 (six fours and three sixes). Late in the innings Tyler Payroli finished up on 49 not out (seven fours and one six).
Earlier in the day Jimmy Burke anchored the innings with a beautifully composed 52 retired not out. Pick of the bowlers was Tim Jeffrey who collected 2/28.
In reply Jeffrey (42) blasted anything loose before falling to an athletic catch from Riley Dastey. Ash Zinnow worked hard through the middle overs to keep the scoreboard ticking, compiling a valuable 42. Sam Laffy was the only multiple wicket taker snaring 2/23.
