The name has now changed to TAC L2P, but the aim remains the same; to structure the learner driving experience into four key stages so each participant will become a safer learner and probationary driver.

The program recorded its 166th learner driver to pass their driving test. Last year’s participants recorded a 100 per cent success rate, with three of the 12 obtaining their licence in manual cars.

However, COVID restrictions last year also impacted the program and now the L2P program is desperate for more mentors to assist the learner drivers.

Baw Baw L2P will be part of the Australia Day celebrations at Drouin Civic Park next Tuesday.

The program needs more mentors to join the ranks and become part of a successful, cooperative and rewarding group of volunteers.

Current and past learners and mentors will attend the event to share their L2P experiences.
