Moira and I are planning an escape by cruising around Australia, departing from Sydney on Saturday 20th November 2021.
This 21-day cruise itinerary will visit Airlie Beach, Townsville, Cairns, Darwin, Dili, Broome, Exmouth, Geraldton to Fremantle.
We have yet to decide whether we will stay onboard and continue the cruise back to Melbourne, fly or rail back to Melbourne. We had planned this cruise for last year, but it was cancelled, and I had open heart surgery, plus the impact of COVID-19, put all travel immediately on hold.

To keep ourselves occupied, in the meantime we flew to Cairns on the day Queensland opened its borders, then travelled by train in various segments down to Brisbane and Gold Coast, before flying home.

Royal Caribbean’s Ovation of the Seas is cruising from Sydney to various Pacific Island ports commencing 22nd November 2021. Princess Cruises are commencing their cruising program on the 29th October 2021 from Sydney and Melbourne.

Returning to travel - confidently
There appears to be a way ahead with the development of vaccines. In the meantime, Moira and I have had multiple injections over the years. Some of you may remember the little yellow booklet you had to carry along with your passport to enter various countries. I would like to thank our clients for their patience whilst we processed the high volume of refunds. This was a world wide problem, with millions of refunds being issued. It’s actually more difficult to unwind than book! We still have a few more to go, but we do appreciate your patience.
Whilst most of the suppliers have been good to deal with, there have been a handful we would not recommend, or reluctant to work with in the future. This is why you should book with a Travel Agent. My staff have worked tirelessly throughout this process to get the best possible outcomes for our clients. This has not been an easy job and I am very grateful for this. During the time, we made ourselves available by phone, email or calling into the office.
