Warragul Camera Club
On September 6, 27 club members attended the September General Meeting and saw the Warragul Camera Club’s monthly competition for the subject – “Night Scene Out-of-Doors” any photograph made out of doors at night providing that flash is not used, however light painting is acceptable – a total of 61 images were judged.
Steward Mike Moore presented the images for the competition presentation and judging. The club’s website now features all the competition images, taken at many locations locally and world-wide.
The images were judged and appraised live on Zoom by guest judge, Adrian Smith, who is a member of Maroondah Photographic Society.
He has judged many times for Warragul Camera Club. Adrian uses Nikon equipment, prefers matt paper, and uses his Epson printer to obtain best quality for his photographs.

President Bruce Langdon welcomed everyone and spoke about the various competitions which club members were entering: September competition for “Monochrome” will now be digital only (no prints due to restrictions), October competition for “Landscape” may include prints depending on restrictions.
Gippsland Interclub presentation will be a digital presentation, on October 3 on Zoom. The PakWag annual competition and exhibition closing date for entries is September 12 and only digital entries will be accepted. The PakWag presentation night is scheduled for October 27. Presentation night venue to be advised. Warragul did not perform well in the 10 Club Portrait Competition due to the small number of images entered. Bruce encouraged all members to attend special presentations and tutorials.
Ron Paynter will present his introduction to infra-red photography, and in November, David Woodcock will present a tutorial on Capture One and universal software available for post processing images.
Monthly outings are great challenges, devised by Ron Paynter, for all members to participate in at their homes, due to restrictions. Some fantastic images have been taken and explore great creativity which should do well in competitions.
The September mid-week outing, with Robyn Rosenboom, is planned for Mt Cannibal, but to be advised, again due to restrictions of the location and distance. Russell Monson asked members to support the club’s sponsors.
The next meeting will be held on October 4. Meetings are held the first Monday each month. For further membership information please visit www.warragulcameraclub.org
