Warragul & Drouin Gazette

Bricks and Bouquets

-

Bricks to those who write into the Gazette, claiming "concern" for those who have chosen not to have the COVID vaccine. Don't judge those whose story you don't know.

Bouquet to Russell Broadbent for taking the time to phone me for an update on the refugee situation in Afghanistan in response to my letter. You are a true gentleman.

Bouquet to Drouin Autos for your generous gesture of installing a car seat for my small grandson. Very much appreciated.

Bouquets for Steve at Victoria Street Medical in Warragul. Steve is always lovely to interact with and is amazing at his job. Always there to support patients and offer a friendly greeting. Merry Christmas Steve your efforts do not go unnoticed.

Bouquet to the Gazette for including a "decoder" in the puzzles page, but can you please print it a little larger to make it easier to read the numbers.

A brick to the Gazette for last week's page 66 cricket reports. Unfortunately, the commentaries did not match the scoreboards provided, giving my comprehension skills a workout. There was a major heading misspelled too, page 26 and that's 'official'. These did bring a smile to my face.

Bricks to the brains trust who decided it would be a good idea to build a new ambulance station in Burke St, Warragul. Great foresight shown there.

Bouquets of appreciation to the dedicated emergency services and kind strangers who attended my parent's car accident.

Bouquet to Russell Broadbent MP for being a strong advocate for minority groups in our community including those who don’t want or can’t get the Covid-19 vaccine for health reasons and are being denied an exemption. Thank you for giving your time, advice and encouragement to my friend who is in a difficult situation.

Bricks to the people who stole our solar Christmas reindeer and flamingo out of our garden. Our 81 year old loved one loves to look out his bedroom window at them at night over Christmas and neighbours bring their children to enjoy them during their walk at night. Naturally we won’t pay out for more when there are people like you about. Hope you enjoy giving at Christmas.
