C grade: Drouin defeated Labertouche 4 games to 2, with 194 to 168 aces.

Warragul defeated Ellinbank 6 games to 0, with 230 to 154 aces.

D grade: Drouin defeated Ellinbank Blue 3 games each, with 172 to 160 aces.

Warragul defeated Ellinbank Gold 6 games to 0, with 180 to 97 aces.

C/D grade game of the week:

The game of the week was played in D grade between Drouin and Ellinbank Blue with each team winning three games. Drouin emerged victorious by 12 aces, with 172 to 160 aces.

In the 1&2 doubles, Ellinbank Blue’s Nina Vanschyndel and Matilda Jefford defeated Ben Nash and Robert Mackowiak 30/29.

In the 1&3 doubles, Drouin’s Ben Nash and Lorelei Perry defeated Nina Vanschyndel and Vanessa McDonald 30/23.

In the 2&3 doubles, Drouin’s Robert Mackowiak and Lorelei Perry defeated Matilda Jefford and Vanessa McDonald 30/20.

In the singles, Ellinbank’s Nina defeated Ben 30/26, Matilda defeated Robert 30/27, and Drouin’s Lorelei defeated Vanessa 30/27.

Little Smashes: This training competition for younger and newer players was played at Warragul Stadium on Friday night.

It encourages players to get involved at have some fun.

The Little Smashes program is run at Warragul between 5.30pm and 6.30pm. The final session will run on Friday, August 19.

Last week’s session saw players from Ellinbank and Warragul in attendance. It was pleasing to see all players are learning, and willing to umpire games.

A special mention to Shanee and Lara Board who played extremely well in their games.
