Gippsland Care Services is a Locally owned and operated Home Care service within Warragul.
Gippsland Care Services provides fully funded Home Care for older people in the community under the Commonwealth Home Care Packages (HCP) program, the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) and the Department of Veterans Affairs Community Nursing supporting DVA beneficiaries in the region.
Services include personal care, domestic services, nursing care, medical transport, home maintenance, gardening, shopping, meal preparation, appointments, and social interaction.
Gippsland Care Services assists older people to live independently in their homes and uses a wellness, reablement and person-centred approach which focuses on working with people to regain their self-care skills.
Rather than “doing for” the clients, GCS staff deliver services alongside the client.
This approach assists the person in maintaining or regaining their mobility, dexterity and the abilities they already have, to live independently in their own homes for longer.
Gippsland Care Services is currently working collaboratively with other service providers to deliver care that promote client choice and that are focused on providing the best possible care and services outcomes for older people in our local community.
