Competitive prices for quality hay and silage net

-

DW Rural has high-spec silage film and net wrap in-store at competitive prices this season.

The Warragul store together with its supply partner, Venus Packaging, have worked hard in a tough year on pricing to provide quality products at a price their customers can work with.

Venus Packaging’s Director Tim Venus says quality feeds need to be wrapped with superior net and film for the best ensiling results.

To that end, the Melbourne-based company sources its products from Western European suppliers with impeccable credentials.

“If you are using a lower quality silage film, there is a much higher change of oxygen penetrating the bale and causing mould and destroying silage quality,” Tim says.

“There is also a practical cost with inferior products because they will not go through the machinery or be applied to the crop very well.”

Venus Packaging supplies hay and silage net in 11gm, 12gm, 13gm, and 14gm.

The 12gm and 13gm net have breaking strengths of 250kg and 290kg respectively, and both are now available at DW Rural.

“The average net strength being used across the board is at the lower end of our range,” Tim confirms.

“For the strength you get from our net, nobody is more cost-effective.

“Australian conditions are some of the harshest in the world, so you need a product that has extra UV stabilisers.

Our products are fit for purpose – you will get the strength and quality that you need at a price you can live with – especially in a year when costs are an extreme issue throughout the industry.”
