Planning underway for mega reunion

-

St Paul’s Anglican Grammar School is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year.

As part of the year long celebrations and due to formal reunions not held due to COVID restrictions in the past two years the school is holding a “mega” reunion for classes celebrating their 10th, 20th and 30th reunions.

Alumni from the classes of 1990, 1991 and 1992 (30 years), 2000, 2001 and 2002 (20 years) and 2010, 2011 and 2012 (10 years) are invited to attend the celebration at the school on Saturday, November 19 from 2pm to 6pm.

Alumni president Jane Sahhar said the school event would be one large gathering with specific areas set up for each of the three groups to gather and look at memorabilia from their era.

“The event will be held in the year nine centre in the Warragul Campus and weather permitting we are hoping people will be able to gather outside as well.”

Attendees will be invited to share their own stories and tours of the school will be held on the hour.

The school has undertaken a huge transformation in the past 30 years however Jane said some areas would still evoke a number of memories. “Despite being modernised, the

VCE centre is similar to how it was back in the day so it will be fun to hear everyone’s stories and anecdotes from their time in VCE.”

Food and drinks will be provided and some talented students will be performing music on the day. Alumni are encouraged to contact people from their year levels who may not have seen the promotion of the event.

“We would love to see as many alumni, staff and ex-staff as possible to share in the reunion.” After years of cancelled reunions and plans due to the pandemic, we are looking forward to a massive celebration with an amazing group of people.

“The Alumni committee of volunteers, together with the school marketing team, have been working on creating a fun, relaxed and celebratory event,” Jane said.
