Top-of-the-table tussle ends in draw

THE top of the table clash at under 16 level lived up to expectatio­ns, with Neerim-Neerim South and Trafalgar playing out a draw.

The Cats would no doubt be ruing some missed opportunit­ies as scores were locked on 37 at the final siren, Trafalgar 5-7 to Neerim-Neerim South's 4-13.

The Bloods held a narrow lead early, before the Cats edged to a one-point lead at the final change.

One goal apiece in the final term ensured nothing would separate the sides.

ELLINBANK were big winners over Longwarry, 11-9 (75) to 2-4 (16).

The Crows were best served by Hamish Colvin, Tyler Hickford, Joshua Cantwell, Nathaniel Macgraw and Jaxon Kelly.

LANG LANG easily accounted for Poowong. The damage could have been greater if it had not been for some inaccuracy, the Tigers booting 9-20 (74) to 3-2 (20).

Robi Nooy, Jaeden Ward, Blake Lyon, Xavier Azzato, Jack Stockx and Jarrad Francome led the way for the Tigers.

Poowong were best served by Kohen Mandemaker, Jett Blackwood, Marty Cook, Rory Nettle, Aaron Damon and Gavin Monson.
