Message from the presidents

-

Our mission at the Warragul Football and Netball Club is very simple.

We aim to create an environment of excellence in which young men and women are assisted in achieving their full potential as footballers, netballers, and people, in an atmosphere which promotes strong family values, excellence and instils qualities of personal development, team pride and sportsmanship in everything we do

We are honoured to be the first female presidents of the Warragul Football Netball Club, and whilst it's been a huge learning curve for both of us we feel that with the extraordinary help of our committee and members we have continued to provide a safe, clean, supportive and inclusive environment for our players, coaches, volunteers and supporters.

Special mention to our committee of 18, who work tirelessly to ensure the continued growth of our club, which currently consists of four junior teams in the WDJFL as well as six netball and four football teams that compete in the Gippsland League, the area's premier competition.

We thank current and past committee members for their hard work and dedication to the WFNC and their ongoing support for us as we continue to evolve in our role as co-presidents.

There are many other unsung heroes of this club that put in endless hours of work behind the scenes, a few of these amazing people are Gavin Ough, Peter Davis and Nick Mills, thank you so much for your years of commitment to the WFNC. We are very fortunate to have a dedicated team of trainers, coaches, assistant coaches, team managers and volunteers who put in so much time and effort to ensure our players get the best opportunities to develop as exceptional young people on and off the field/court.

Our senior coach Jed Lamb has signed to coach for season 2024 and Sean Masterson has also re-signed for next season, this is great news for the club as we look towards the future.

The re-establishment of our junior club in 2021 has been a huge success and it's a credit to former president Michael Ireland and Leigh Sheehan for making this happen.

It's so exciting to watch the growth and success our junior Gulls are experiencing and we look forward to seeing what the future brings.

We would like to thank all our generous sponsors for their support, without you we would not be able to provide this environment that brings people together and supports our local community.

Please support our sponsors and all local small businesses where possible, communities are built on everyone working together.

We would like to thank all our players, families, life members, volunteers and supporters for being a part of this great club and let's enjoy the rest of season 2023.

Go Gulls!

Mandy Fennell and Kim Weller, Co-presidents
