Tinies:

There were no entries from out tinies this week.

Juniors:

Our green certificate winner this week is Walker Powell for his colouring of a woman raking leaves.

Walker used a combination of Texta and glittery gel pen in his picture, I liked the way all the colours blended together.

I liked the blue sky in the background of the picture. Walker went over the Texta with a gel pen which added depth and some shine to the sky.

I also liked the woman’s sparkly shirt and pants and how Walker matched the colours to the woman’s hair. Great work Walker!

This week’s yellow certificate winner is Tamara Jolley for her colouring of an artist and an easel.

Tamara used Texta to colour in her picture, I really liked the colourful paint splotches she added onto the artist’s art smock.

On the easel, Tamara drew a rainbow which I thought was very pretty. I liked the sparkly blue pen she used for the sky around the rainbow. Great work Tamara! Seniors:

Our green certificate winners this week are Ruby Lambert-Storer and Charlotte McKenna.

Ruby coloured a picture of a woman raking leaves. Ruby used coloured pencils to create soft shading in her picture, it was simple but very effective!

I liked the two shades of green Ruby used to colour in the grass in her picture. The grass at the front of the picture was light green and the grass at the back was darker. I thought this was a great way to explore space and distance in a small picture. Excellent job Ruby!

Charlotte coloured a picture of a student at school. Charlotte put a lot of effort into this picture, it was very colourful and detailed.

I really liked the way she coloured the chalkboard and the desk in the picture. Charlotte used different shades of brown to make the timber desk look like real wood, and she used a mixture of green and black to made the chalkboard look realistic too!

I also liked the subtle blue and purple stripes in the boy’s vest, and the polkadots on his tie. Wonderful job Charlotte!
